WHY YOU SHOULD MOVE TO ATLANTA

I’ve now lived in Atlanta longer than I have anywhere else, and it’s where I call home. Even though it took a while, and for years I wouldn’t dare to call it my “hometown”, I’ve learned to like it — wait, actually I absolutely love it.

We moved to Atlanta for my parents business when I was just eight years old, and boy has it changed since then. Atlanta has come a long way from Hotlanta (which by the way if you come here, please don’t use that phrase), and the players playing here. Atlanta is now a city of transplants, the busiest international …

TABLE TALK | CACIO E PEPE

Our first stop in Italy was Milan and on our last night there, we made reservations at a restaurant that was infamous for it’s Cacio e Pepe (in fact that’s also what the restaurant was called so you know it’s legit). So naturally, that’s what I ordered. BEST. PASTA. EVER.

I honestly thought about the dish the entire trip and kept ordering Caico e Pepe every time I would see it on the menu. Although the others were good, they weren’t as good as the restaurant in Milan — and after taking a break from pasta once we got back, I finally decided to give this dish …

HOW I USED THE KONMARI METHOD TO ORGANIZE MY HOME

The new year has inspired me and the rest of the world to get organized and it’s all thanks to organization guru, Marie Kondo. If you haven’t heard of her you must live under a rock because she’s not only taken over the internet, but she’s also now the sole tiny person behind many peoples clean drawers and closets.

In 2017 she wrote The Life-Changing Magna of Tidying Up where she introduced to the KonMari Method. Just recently, the Netflix original released and in just a few weeks this tiny Japanese woman is changing lives.

While watching Tidying Up with Marie Kondo I must say I felt pretty …

WINTER DATE IDEAS

1. Sign up for a cooking class. It’s a great way to spend time together and a fun way to learn new skills and recipes.

2. Make your own chocolate fondue. Sometimes it’s so cold you don’t even want to go outside for dessert, so don’t. Heat up some chocolate in your own house and start dipping away.

3. Go ice skating together. Find out when open skate is and hit the ice with your partner. Hold hands and laugh at (and with) each other as you almost fall over a couple times. Don’t worry about being the best, just have fun with it.

4. Visit a local …

TO ALL THE GIRLS WHO DON’T HAVE A SISTER

When I think about my childhood there’s not much I would change. Many would even call the way I grew up “perfect”. In the Charania household there are four of us– my Dad, Mom, Brother and me. We moved to Georgia from Texas when my little brother and I were six and eight years old.

We were blessed enough to live in a beautiful home, in the same neighborhood as my cousins who were close in age to us. Life was always fun with riding bikes down the hills and watching the boys play basketball in the backyard. I always had a big group of …

TABLE TALK | THE BEST LAMB CHOPS EVER

It took us about 2 years to invest in a cast iron pan and though I have no idea why it took so long, but now that we have it I don’t know what we did without it!

One of our favorite meals to make with the cast iron skillet is Lamb Chops. Now Hubs doesn’t cook much, but when he does… best lamb chops… ever! They are so tender and juicy and the Harissa spice powder is the best seasoning ever–I seriously wish I could put it on everything.

I hope you guys enjoy this delicious meal as much as we do!

THE TRUTH ABOUT FAMILY PHOTOS

It’s that time of year again! Time for holiday photos, planning the perfect outfits, location scouting, and coordinating dates & times with the family. I always go back and forth about family holiday photos. I mean is it really worth getting all dressed up for literally 10-15 minutes of chaos?

Last year we kept it simple and took our family picture in our backyard, it was the day after Thanksgiving and it was our first year with our (then) new pup! This …

5 UNIQUE WAYS TO DECORATE YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE

Christmas Tree decorating is what I live for. Well, not really — but it is my absolute favorite season of the year and I really put all my creative juices to work when I’m decorating. I’ve been decorating our family tree for as long as I can imagine. We’re not Christians, so my parents never really understood why I loved putting a tree up every year, but they also never forbid me for doing so. I like to think of Christmas more of a time of family, love, and togetherness and that’s why every year I try and put together a tree that embodies that.

Now that I have …
