BLACK AND WHITE GINGHAM

It’s crazy how quickly the weekend goes by and the week just drags along. We spent this weekend with some of my favorite people– our family. When we bought our house in the suburbs a few years back, a lot of our friends asked us why we didn’t move into the city, and weekends like this past one reminded us why we didn’t. We are no more than 20 minutes away from all of our family and fortunately, we get to see almost everyone at least once a week. I grew up around all of my family–  no really… we all lived in the same neighborhood. Because of that I’m so accustomed to being surrounded by everyone I love, sending (and receiving) food, and just dropping by whenever I miss them, now, even 20 minutes seems too far. Maybe one day we’ll be ready to be further out, but right now, I’m glad we are where we are. I wouldn’t change it for the world.
