VALENTINES DAY TRADITIONS & OUTFIT IDEA | PART TWO |

I’ve already told you what an ideal Valentine’s Day looks like to me (here, in part one), and even though a daytime date can be fun and exciting, I love a traditional dinner date. I truly believe that if you’re doing love right you celebrate it everyday, including February 14th.

Valentine’s day is all about expressing your love and it definitely doesn’t always have to be about the gifts. On a holiday like, it’s the little things that matter. Wearing my husband’s favorite color, baking his favorite dessert in the shape of a heart of course, doing his chores for him, or even simply making him a cup of chai before he leave for work are just a few simple things that I love doing to show my husband appreciation.

In part one in this series I worked with one of my good friends and my favorite Atlanta MUA, Suman, to share an easy, yet trendy day look (if you missed it, you can see it here). For part two I’m working with her again to show you how we transitioned the fun daytime look into nighttime glam.

I live for the classics, so when I laid my eyes on this beautiful collarless red coat from Zara I knew I had to have it. I love it paired against this blush pink dress and neutral accessories. Suman transformed my makeup by using warmer tones in the outer corners of my eyes and added a bold red lip to take it up a notch.

I hope you enjoyed this two part Valentine’s Day series! With all that’s going on in the world nowadays, it’ll be nice to have a day that’s all about love.
