Have you ever stayed at someones home, and always had to ask for things like toothpaste, an extra toothbrush or a towel? I remember always feeling awkward about asking for little things and sometimes would avoid asking because I felt bad. I would hate for one of my guests to feel that way, so I always try and provide travel necessities whenever I know we’re going to have guest over.
I wanted to make our guest room to feel kind of like a hotel, really cozy and comfortable. One thing I’m always sure to do is take my guests interest into consideration. My goal is to be sure that my guests have everything they need so they don’t have to tipi-toe around the house or feel uncomfortable.
This weekend my cousin is coming to stay with us and I know she loves everything skincare and makeup, so I was sure to get her some face masks and makeup remover wipes incase she forgot hers. I also like to include anything else that my guests may forget like a few extra toothbrushes, a new loofa (I always pick up a bunch from the dollar store), extra towels, and a jug of water. I also make sure that the wifi password is in clear vision so they don’t have to ask for it.
Another touch I think is really sweet is to have a little snack in the room. I like to set a little tray up on the bed with some fresh or faux flowers and a variety chocolates. I just think it’s a nice touch and makes the guests feel welcome as soon as they come in.
