TIPS FOR PLANNING A PHOTOSHOOT IN A DIFFERENT COUNTRY

A photoshoot is the best way to remember an incredible trip abroad. We visited Paris last year, but unfortunately¬†we were overwhelmed with sightseeing, so we didn’t give enough thought to getting our photos taken. We regretted that decision immediately. This year, we didn’t want to make that mistake again when we had a quick stopover in the city of love before continuing on our journey to Italy.

If you are planning a trip to Paris, or anywhere else in the world, (we had our photos taken in Singapore absolutely loved them, check them out below) then here are some quick and easy tips to make a photoshoot happen without the last minute stress:

DO YOUR RESEARCH:

You can do this even before you book your tickets! Look up some photographers in the area you are visiting and browse their website to look at their style of photos, location options, prices, and packages they offer. A great way to find some photographers is to search on instagram. For example, if you are looking for a photographer in Paris, simply type in #ParisPhotographer.

CONTACT:

Once you’ve got a list of potential photographers, narrow them down by contacting them and getting a few quotes, and see if they are available on the dates you will be in their city. Make a list with the photographers on one side, and their prices and dates available on the other.

MAKE YOUR DECISION:

By now, you should have a short list of the photographers that are available. Make your final decision by crossing off the ones who may be out of your budget, or maybe their photographer doesn’t follow the style you’re interested in. Be sure to book someone who gets your vision, and openly communicates the process to you.

BONUS TIP:

When packing, be sure to pack everything you will need for the photoshoot in your carry on luggage. This way, if your luggage gets lost, you won’t have to panic because everything you need has been with you the entire time!
